Gun Transfer Service

If you decide to purchase a firearm from an online dealer, you can have it sent to us. When it arrives, we will do the complete FFL Firearm Transfer for a $30 fee PER FIREARMs, which usually takes about 15 mins. If you have your Texas License to Carry the fee to complete the FFL Transfer is $25. Discounts available for Active Duty, Police and First Responders.

Firearm Appraisal Service

Includes detailed research of firearm including the market value, wholesale value and replacement value. Appraisal report includes photographed images of firearm on a USB flash drive. Firearm will be checked with local, state and National databases. Report is serialized and meets insurance requirements. This service will take approx. 30 days to complete.

Have you ever purchased a firearm online? If so, you're probably already familiar with FFL transfer fees. For those new to online gun buying, any time you buy a gun through an eCommerce retailer, the firearm is shipped, not to your residence, but to your preferred local Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) gun store. What is a FFL? An FFL is a Federal Firearms License typically held by gun stores, sporting goods stores, and pawnshops. They are licensed to arrange your firearm transfer for you. A Federal Firearms License Transfer (Also called an FFL Transfer) is necessary when a person wishes to purchase a firearm outside of the state they reside in or from a geographically inconvenient FFL holder.

Once firearm arrives to our store, please allow at least 1-2 days for processing. You may contact us to see if your firearm is ready to be picked up, but please DO NOT just show up assuming that is it ready to be picked up.

What you need to bring with you when you pick up your firearm.

Bring your current Texas driver’s license. Important: Your Texas license must contain your current permanent address (contact us if not).
If you have a current Texas LTC, please bring it with you.
Bring $30.00 cash per firearm or receiver, We do not accept credit checks for Transfers.
If you are picking up a used handgun, all must leave here with a childproof handgun lock, Either bring one with you or you can purchase one for $10.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

We will require a valid form of government issued I.D. upon pick up of all firearm transfers. Only the person whose name is on the transferred item’s paperwork can legally pick up the firearm. When you make your purchase, or need one shipped in, please, send me an "email": [email protected], with the following information: Your contact information and the seller of the firearm.

Private Party

Due to the recent demands we are now providing a Private Party Facilitation service. Two buyers agree to a price/ terms of the deal with each other, both buyer and seller come to our location where we will log the item to be sold into our book from the seller and log out the item being sold to the buyer on a 4473. Total cost for this service is $30.00 per firearm.

Texas License to Carry

If you have a Texas License to Carry, there is a $25.00 per firearm fee to complete the FFL Transfer.

Note:

Transfers that have not been picked up within 30 days will incur a $25/month storage fee. Transfers that have not been picked up within 90 days, unless we have approved a longer timeframe in writing, will be considered abandoned and become the property of Gun Garage.
